Celebrity and athlete Matteo Guidicelli has chosen international, award-winning performance and lifestyle running brand Saucony as his official performance footwear starting 2016. With big projects this year from releasing his first solo album to being one of the leading actors as “Gian Carlo De Luca” in ABS-CBN’s primetime television series Dolce Amore, Guidicelli still maintains his active lifestyle and his passion for running.

Perfect Match with Saucony
With his very busy lifestyle that requires reliable and stylish footwear plus his strong belief in inspiring people to never stop pushing themselves further, Matteo sees Saucony as a perfect match and finds the partnership with the brand a natural choice. Guidicelli shares “When Saucony approached me, natuwa talaga ako dahil I heard Saucony has been around for a hundred years, they are a very very credible shoe brand, the technology of the shoes is amazing and their goals are the same with what I envision so it’s the perfect match.”

One with ‘Find Your Strong’
It’s not new for Saucony to partner with influential athletes who have excelled in their careers while using running as motivation which is what the brand’s mantra “Find Your Strong” is all about. Guidicelli embodies the brand’s philosophy and eloquently expressed the mantra in his own words, “It says ‘Find Your Strong’, so it’s beautiful because everyone just needs to find where they’re strong at, and where they could push further.”

Race Day and Everyday with Saucony
Guidicelli uses Saucony from his races to his everyday activities sporting the brand’s wide collection of stylish performance and lifestyle footwear. He thinks that Saucony is a perfect partner for his daily runs and has shared a particular experience during the recent Century Tuna Ironman Subic race where Saucony’s comfort helped him conquer the race. “I haven’t been getting sore. The parts where I usually get sore because of the shoes, it doesn’t happen with Saucony because they’re just right in the right places.”

Currently, he is using Saucony’s Triumph ISO 2 which carries the EVERUN continuous cushioning, a running-industry first technology which is better cushioning that’s closer to the foot, providing runners better landing and better stride for every part of their run. Since 1898, Saucony has always been a pioneer in creating footwear and apparel with superior running technology making it a top choice for serious runners and casual runners alike.

This 2016, Guidicelli completes the year’s roster of Saucony’s influential athletes with 2015 SEA Games Silver Medalist Kim Mangrobang, current Olympic Distance National Record Holder, John Chicano; ITU (International Triathlon Union) Level 2 Coach and only certified ART (Active Release Techniques) Provider in the country, PJ Rivera. Also part of Team Saucony are Bike King founders Raul Cuevas and Ting Joson, Team Herbalife and Team Ford Forza which is Guidicelli’s triathlon team.

Saucony is an award-winning global running lifestyle brand that fuses performance, innovation and style to create the world’s compelling footwear and apparel. Founded two years after the first Olympic Marathon, and one year after the first Boston Marathon, Saucony’s 100-year running heritage showcases the brand’s commitment in empowering people through running along with its “Find Your Strong” tagline that continues to energize, inspire, and unify runners to this day. Since 1898, the brand demonstrates deep respect for its authentic running heritage and its dedication to push the boundaries of running technology with its award-winning innovations, including EVERUN™, ISOFIT™, PWRGRID+™, Geometry of Strong™, and Total Run System™ apparel line.
