“A lot, I don’t know the exact tally but, it’s more than 2 kaming Filipino na nag-audition. Dalawa lang kaming Filipino ang napili.”
Kung sakaling matutuloy ka sa Mars, ano yung plano nyo ng BF mo, are you planning to get marry first before you go Mars?
“That is something that we think about, I don’t know yet maybe we will cross the bridge when we get there, this time, I want to focus on my audition, then if palarin na isa ako sa mapili sa 1st four na pupunta sa Mars, saka nalang naming paplanuhin kung what will happen.”

Ano yung pinakamahirap na pinagdaanan mo during the audition bago mo marating yung least 100 na may chance to go to Mars?
“Yung interview ko, one on one interview is most difficult one, kasi he is the former Chief Medical Officer of NASA, he is the one choosing the real astronauts. Mars One hired him to be the part of program, of course the fear is there, although hindi naman masyado mahirap tanong pero mapapaisip ka kung ano isasagot mo.”

Kung sakali isa ka sa mapili na makapunta sa Mars, ano yung pwede mong i-contribute sa kanila?“Like I said, It’s more of my experience and my urge to learn. There’s a talk in Mars One, they asked us what is your 4 wish lists na gusto mong makasama sa Mars kung sakali na pupunta ka dun, I always said to my interview na , one is doctor, an engineer, maybe a geologist or a botanists, tapos a cook, ako yung magiging cook, kidding aside, I’m studying Mechanical and Electrical Engeering now , within 10 years time frame I will able to contribute that as well with regards of technicality. Also my experience in life being a Filipino, being borned here in the Philippines then migrated to U.S. adapting to a new environment. This is big adaptation kasi with mingle with different race and personality.”

“Of course I will bring the flag of the Philippines and the sands of Earth.”

“Mars has been the talk of Science worldwide. Its been a talk for a very long time. Last time the Apollo went to moon right? That’s the last time that the NASA do exploration, we never done it for a very long time. Why Mars? Lots of Science studied about Mars, and last September 2015, they declared that there is water on Mars, so if there is water, that means its livable. And Mars is the 4th planet in Solar System, Mars is very close to Earth, it’s right next door to us, that’s why they choose Mars and nobody has been there yet.”

Are you ready to die kung sakaling may aksidenteng mangyari along the way to Mars or kung sakali di ka maka survive sa Mars?
“I saw my mom passed away and when I was working in States, I was working in a Nursing Com as a Social Service, as admission coordinator, so I see patients die in front of me all the time, so, that is part of our life. Death is like a thief in the night. For example when you walk out your door, you can die right there, or you can die while sleeping. I’m ready for it, if my journey will not become successful, at least I know where I want, I know where, when and why I die. There is a purpose. And that is the most important for me. ”
Goodluck Jaymee!
